According to the employee timetables, Morton Park came out about the summer of 1954.  It is listed in April 1954 and missing in September 1954.  This date would be consistent with the hump yard construction.

Many timetables show the milepost location of Morton Park at MP 7.46.  The correct milepost location was MP 7.51, west of Laramie Avenue.

You're right; its just 200 feet or so west of Laramie.  It was in the middle of the Clyde Yards.  I think it came out when the hump was added to the yard configuration.  It was, maybe, the most underused of suburban stops.
