I know which segment of the line was the Denver, Texas, and Gulf. Which segment was the Denver, Texas and Fort Worth? John Evans as the Denver & New Orleans, then reorganized in 1886 as the Denver, Texas & Gulf, becoming part of the Pan-Handle Road that included the DT&G, the Denver, Texas & Fort Worth and the Fort Worth & Denver City. The two Colorado lines became part of the Union Pacific, Denver & Gulf in 1890 and it was reorganized in 1898 as the Colorado & Southern.
