What is meant by "the Billings area"? One wonders if it includes such things as the CB&Q Ranchester, WY depot which still exists as a private residence about 6 miles south of Sheridan, 21 miles from Ranchester! The Lodge Grass depot now at the Hardin museum (34 miles west of Lodge Grass) is interesting as you can go upstairs and see how the agent/operator lived. Looking out the trackside upstairs window one wonders what a sight and sound it must have been as the stacks of hard working 4-6-2s, 2-8-2s, and 2-10-2s passed by just a dozen feet or so outside.
