Group, Just working through some freight car detailing projects and have started some XM-32B kits from Branchline. The outstanding Burlington Bulletin 7 shows they nailed the major aspects of the details with the correct doors/ends/ladders although it appears the number range they chose (17000-17799) rode on ASF A-3 trucks instead of the included Barber S-2 which would have been good for 17800-18399. Just for completeness I have a couple of questions: 1. Were the trucks painted mineral red or black originally? 2. Were all the running boards Apex? or another type? 3. Has any more information about brake gear types vs. number series come to light? Pretty sure I cannot go wrong with the included Ajax set, but I would like to ask anyway. Eventually I will move on to the Intermountain cars for the early XM-32 so if an answer to #3 can cover these as well it would be appreciated. Thank you.
