I just purchased Michael Johns book on Iowa's Peavine and it raised a question.  It states that when parts of the K-line between Keokuk and Mt. Pleasant were abandoned in 1932, the remaining portion, now accessed from the Peavine, became part of the Ottumwa division.  In 1939, the portion of the Peavine from Birmingham to Batavia was abandoned, severing its connection with the Q main across Iowa.  Can anyone confirm -- perhaps from an ETT from 1939 or the early 1940s -- that as of that abandonment the Peavine became part of the Hannibal division since it could then only be accessed out of Ft. Madison?
