Thanks Matt, I wasn't aware that the access road is private property. Last time I was there a BN trainmaster tried to throw my friend and I out and my friend argued that the road it self was city property and we weren't leaving the road so the trainmaster left us alone. The TM was there doing efficiency tests and didn't want us giving him away. I thought there was a city owned fishing dock or something like that at the parking lot at the end back then.

Siding is still there. The area is question is BNSF/CN property including the access road – trespassers be warned.

I think the center siding is gone now, but I know you can't see the river through all the trees anymore. Rich is correct, there is a bluff out of view to the right. There is currently a gravel road that goes back to the IC/CN bridge, so it would have just been a matter of parking there and walking up the track 100 yards or so north/west of the IC diamond.

This is standing on the other side of the IC with their back to the bridge and river:

Looking north/west toward where the 1965 photo was taken:

I believe this is the same spot today:

I don't remember the center siding being there when I was there 3-4 years ago but in that last picture it looks like it still is.

I think the bluff is just out of the picture to the right.  There appears to be a substantial ditch between the embankment the track is on and the bluff.

Richard,

Thanks! How would one taken that shot back in the 60's? It doesn't look like there's a bluff on the right of that picture right there in the vicinity of the photographer.

I assume that a lot of trees have grown up along the right of way.

Hi All,

I'm trying to figure out where the following location is today.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=354144

I assume that it still exists, but it may not have this configuration today. Would anyone know of any track charts for this area and this location?

James
