[CBQ] Looking for clarification on Empire Builder 'Pass' sleepers

I am researching the history of the EB and have found a conflict in the 
information regarding the CB&Q 'Pass' sleepers used on the 1947 train.  There 
appear to be 3 such cars that the CB&Q owned (at one point or another):

1167 Cut Bank Pass
1168 Red Gap Pass
1169 Swift Current Pass

1169 was delivered to CB&Q but wrecked in 1949, rebuilt at Pullman and resold 
to GN in 1951.  1168 was delivered to CB&Q but subsequently sold to GN in 1955. 
 1167 is the curiosity.  Some sources say it always belonged to CB&Q but the 
Pullman Project inventory shows it as having been delivered to GN, which would 
mean it was subsequently acquired by CB&Q. 

Can anyone shed light on 1167's history?
