Tom, Yes, I have seen photographic evidence of this happening at least once. The CZ Vista Dome Obs was operating backwards behind a baggage car, not a baggage buffet. It was at the front of the fairly TCZ normal consist in the early sixtiess with the regular Vista Dome Observation on the rear of the train. This indicated that the CZ was not in revenue parlor service but rather being used for a special group move, possibly. It is quite evident the CZ dome obs running backwards was not a round end TCZ car as they are quite different and easy to identify. When the CZ Vista Dome Observations were no longer cycled on the Aksarben Zephyrs to Lincoln and back, there would be a spare on hand in Chicago with the addition of extra car "Silver Lookout" built in 1953. Except in cases of shopping one of the cars. I will have to remember where I saw this image (still photography in a book vs. video so members can take a look.)
