It would not make sense in that:

1.  The CZ dome/obs was a sleeping car, where the TCZ car was a parlor car.

2.  The Kansas City Zephyr dome observation cars, also parlor cars, were configured in a manner closely matching those of the TCZ and thus could be, and were, substituted without compromising sold parlor space.

I haven't seen the CZ dome on the TCZ, but certainly the pre-war observations were used on occasion.
