I need to correct myself as I dug out my 1973 timebook. I dead headed in on 3/4/73 for a combined 185/183/85 on duty at 8PM. We made it all the way to Aurora the next day at noon and were relieved at Aurora tower.

Engineer was Eddie Britton and Condr was Elmer Fick. We tied up in Cicero at the bunkhouse on temporary tie up so we could go 16 hours. Plans changed every couple hours as we were going to transfer over the IHB/Milw,then over the Belt to the GM&O to the J to Eola. Finally we went BN direct and went by Belmont on the morning of the 5th.

The list of arbitraries in my time book is pretty impressive.
