I received 4 of the following cars in HO scale this week:

http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/910-4501

I'm ASSuming they are a correct Burlington prototype (and if not . . . oh well)

Anyway, my questions is with the letter "D" on the sides, appearing between the "CB&Q" and the car number. What keeps popping into my head is that this letter designates it as a double-deck car for hog and sheep loading, iirc.....or not. Anyone know for sure what it means?

Thanks in advance for any info.
