Pete please send me Earl's contact info off list. You are correct, I got the names mixed up. I have read "It gets in your blood" in it's entirety on a loan from another CB&Q retired employee and BRHS member(we need to get more of them to join) .

 

It's a great read as long as you dont expect pictures but want the meat of what it took to RR.

 

Some of the highlights several years after reading,still come to mind, like making the rounds in the bars at Savanna by a young trainmaster and bringing new employees on board and grooming them from less than ideal backgrounds.
