Very few signs are "official"...Each "culture" made up its own signs and they were "handed down"

Mike Porter of Kansas City has done a hand sign clinic at a number of gatherings through out the Mid-west, mostly at prototype model operations weekends. Mike is a CGW (now UP) engineer who learned the signs from family members who worked for the CGW. Not all the signs are “Official” railroad signs, but are humorous and make their point.
