Hi All,
IRM has preserved several important pieces
of Burlington equipment and I felt that it would be appropriate to forward this
email so that those of you are so inclined, may consider making a year-end donation
to the museum for this new barn.

To: IRMlist@yahoogroups.com
If your are a member and/or friend of IRM you will be receiving a letter in
the form of a request for end-of-year donations. This years topic is
especially important; ie, THE BARN 14 CONSTRUCTION FUND. The equipment,
arguable, is the museum and we are facing a crisis at IRM. Much of the
equipment that has been stored outside is reaching the point-of-no-return.
They have been slowly deteriorating because of the extreme weather
conditions we have experienced throughout the years. This might be our last
chance to save some of these pieces. This thread has previously memtioned
some of the important items that are in need of protection. You will hear
more in the future but this is a CRY for action! Please consider a
donation, to make this happen. O, Yes, FYI costs of $215 per foot per piece
is not cheap. Next time it WILL be more expensive. Please send $ to the
BARN 14 CONSTRUCTION FUND. We now make it easy to donate on our IRM
website!! OLD DIESELS, COACHES, FREIGHTCARS, STREETCARS, INTERURBANS, AND
STEAM ENGINES WILL THANK YOU. HUMANS WILL TOO. Roger Kramer
