CB&Q 13500 is in service for MTM's Saturday caboose rides at the ex-GN Jackson St. roundhouse in St. Paul, MN.

Restored by MTM volunteers. Shown here at the JSRH on October 30, 2012.

CB&Q 13500 built in August 1930, first of 25 30' NE 10 class cabooses 13500-13524, was one of the first class of steel waycars built by the CB&Q in 1930. They were also the last group of waycars built at the Aurora Shops in Aurora, IL. It's original color was standard caboose red. That was later changed to orange. It never received the late caboose color of silver - investigation shows it went right from orange to BN 11445 cascade green.
