AsI slowly work my way thru the vast text as well as the 1000 photos, I find photos & comments that make me say 'wow, how come I never heard/saw that before' or 'there is something unique here - why did the Q do this?' 1- Saw the pic of a wood way car at tail end of PZ in it's revenue days, at speed. The source of the photo did not ID the reason for same (& may not have known - one of those wonderful surprises when one is trackside long enough!) Randy's guess, given location, direction & date, that it was enroute to W. Burlington for shopping but why on a scheduled streamlined Zephyr? Why not on a way freight? Then again I cannot think of a better reason (Q had plenty of business cars and extra coaches if we consider even the craziest 'whys'). Anyone know? perhaps an old consist with notation? 2 - CW's put into MoW service (will make it a 2nd post so as not to muddy the waters with the above photo which has to be among the top 10 surprises in the Waycars book.
