Neat engine. I have a n MPC era Lionel version of this engine. A good number of years ago they were selling for north of two hundred dollars if you could find one. I had been out at a local train show running the modular layout of my club and after the days efforts and we had broken the layout down and loaded the trailer, I was headed to my car when I passed a gentleman loading his wares, I looked over and asked if he had had a good show. He grumbled something about not selling enough to make the rent, etc and asked if I was interested in anything I could see. Well he had several MPC engines and rolling stock in a box. I said what do you need for the box. He looked at it and said "Gimme two hundred". Well that was a good bit of money at the time, but I did have it on me and I am glad I did because in the box were three GP style engines including the GM50 plus two unboxed Alco FA's plus four small Madison passenger cars and a boxcar. Deal for me- gas money for him. Best deal at a show ever at that time.. Sometimes I win, just not enough. John C. Willis Mobile, Al ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
