All,
I realize that Walters has in the past been a savior to the modeler.  But, with that said, they hold hobby shops hostage if they are a Walters dealer by allowing them to only order from Walters instead of allowing them to direct to the manufacture if Walters is out of stock, and Walters only orders by batch so they wait to get enough to make an order to where they get their reduced price.  Remember, Walters has dropped many lines, many manufactures have dropped Walters because of the hostage taking of shops.  Nice to start their to see if the thing is available.  But shop manufactures I. being 125 miles from a local hobby shop, use a direct line to the manufacture and am very very satisfied with the response I receive.  Yes, I  save a list for my local hobby shop 125 miles away, and try to buy big from him when I am there.  But if I go to a shop and am told they can order it for me I know I can call the manufacture get the order in a week and it will be done.  While the hobby shop has to wait for Walters to get enough orders to justify ordering from the manufacture.  No, I am not anti hobby shop, but a little biased about Walters and the way they operate.  I do try to support every hobby shop I walk into and buy what I need.

I have searched the Walthers catalog for a 6 foot 5 window baggage door as used on the Q's baggage and RPO cars and have yet to find any that match that size.
