I agree, the K Line along MO 79 is great railfanning. In many places the rails and highway run parallel. A lot of old infrastructure remains and there is an abundance of places to stop and just watch. Also, the many small towns offer ample sources of food and drink, including small town joints that are a great alternative to fast food chains. My favorite spot to watch is Old Monroe, where trains heading for and coming out of St Louis frequently meet. There is a long passing siding there. Robert Brown St Charles MO
