Check you local library system or local university. My local library offers online access to the Sanborn maps for every state.

Also be aware many railroads were self-insured, ie not candidates for purchase fire insurance, so sometimes Sanborn did not purposely map railroad property. It just mapped the property around railroads. Meaning the track arrangements may not be accurate, or changes may not be reflected is they were in structures.

 

All the same, Sanborn maps are one tool in the historian or researcher’s bag of tricks.
