Without having it in front of me, my best guess is that it's about 1 & 1/2 ft wide by 2 ft tall. The glass is roughly an inch thick if not more surrounded by a steel frame. It looks pretty nice with a couple of fluorescent lights behind it. Without knowing the size or the material the image is made of, I would
venture a guess that it is a backlit advertising sign. It most likely
would have appeared in depots along the route of the TCZ.
If anybody is in the Kansas City area, and wants to see one of these of a Q
freight train, stop by the former Burlington credit union in downtown North
Kansas City. It’s been a number of years since I was there, but it was
very large, and the colors were faded, but not too bad considering that it was
at least 40 years old!
