Somehow my last post repeated Hol’s

Dimensions [1 Attachment]
Hol,
Thanks for the drawings. Ken sent the same drawings to me last night
off list. I really appreciate the drawings, since it gives dimensions and
enough construction details to draw model plans. I hope Dave will post photos
showing all four sides if they’re available. I have the photos in BB#23
and those already posted to the group album, but they only show the front and
both ends. I’d like to see the back, though from the drawing, it appears
that it has three chutes like the front.
I’ve been wondering why the bins in Winfield and Oskaloosa were
larger than the bin in Burlington, but then it occurred to me that through
steamers would be coaled in Creston and Galesburg, so the Burlington bin would
only be used for small powered locals e.g. H-4s, K-4s, P-6s, R-4s, etc. and
yard switchers. The former B&NW and B&W traffic would be coaled in
Winfield and Oskaloosa, respectively, so the main demand for the Burlington
bin was for yard switchers. Am is right about that?
