Paul,

The BRHS has a full length article in the works on this line that orginally went to Geneva. See our Zephyr #62 for a brief introduction on the history of the line. The full length article will be a society bulletin of somewhere in the 40-50 plus page length(i.m estimating) and cover the entire history of the line and industry detail.

This line served several heavy mfgs of conveyors systems, metal fab, foundry, etc.

What is of special interest is Mooseheart between North Aurora and Batavia that was in essence an orphans home for that fraternal society that generated many passenger specials and Nifa which was a fair grounds, amusement park and later a horse racing track that also generated passenger and cirus train specials and even carloads of race horses.

Just one of the contributors to the article

Hello

I was wondering if any of you out there would know about this little spur line going to Batavia Illinois from Aurora. It was on the west side of the river and it seemed like it ended somewhere near the west side of Batavia. These still is some of it used up the I88 tollway. That bridge came out a few years ago.
Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you
Paul Miller
