Most of the branch lines were in Ag support with feed, coal, fertilizer, lumber, and implements inbound with Soybeans and corn the outbound loading. I have an article in the works using the Form 22 from a small town in Illinois off the Hannibal Div. Most of the branch lines had only one train a day or bi or tri weekly service with most fixed up as round-trips or as work trains ie. Ottumwa Div. Dispatcher handled the Mainline Galesburg to Pacific Jct(three crew districts) with about 10 branch lines Retired Train Dispatcher BN/bnSF 1974-2009 Steve in SC From: crazyweazle <crazyweazle@yahoo.com> To: CBQ@yahoogroups.com Sent: Sat, February 11, 2012 8:01:34 PM Subject: [CBQ] Branchlines and traffic I've been looking at the 1967 track charts, especially the Ottumwa and Hannibal Divisions and have been wondering about the types of traffic normally found on the Missouri branchlines during the late 60's & early 70's. __._,_.___
