A regular scheduled train would not display any markers.
A section or sections of a regular scheduled train would display green lights and the last section would not display any lights.
If you were on an inferior train and a train shows up with green signals you would wait until all sections passed and the final section with no markers passed.

Rule 20 - Engine running forward at night with following section - Green Lights Rule 21 - Engine running forward as extra -- White lights But what do you display for an engine running forward with a single train and on a schedule?
