Ray, Yahoo does not offer a “sort by date” feature for either the files or photos sections. And moderators/owners can do nothing about this. Agree it is very frustrating to try and find things, esp with files. And while they do offer a “new photos” link on the home page, it will only allow you to view the photos in Yahoo’s reduced image size. To see the photo full size, you need to go to the photo album. One trick when new photos have been uploaded: go to the photos section, look in the upper left corner where it says Add Photo | Create Album. Right below Create Album is Last Modified. Click Last Modified and this will sort the photo albums so the first photo album in the grid is the one with the newest photos, ie sort by date.
What is interesting about this is that Yahoo does offer the option to sort by date in the attachments section. You can also sort by subject or Author. Further Attachments will accept both photos and files of all forms, full size, and has 100gb of space. The only way to add to the attachments section is by attaching your photo or file to a message. And there can be multiple attachments to one message. This is a new feature and one not utilized by many.
Messages are sent to the group only when the person posting to the files section clicks the option to send a message when uploading a file.
