Steven,
We were driving between Hannibal and Galesburg, yesterday, and spotted a steel reefer on a farm along the road. I don't recall exactly here it was, but will watch for it on Monday when we return home that way. It is reefer orange in color with no identifiable lettering. The car is on the west side of the highway and sitting close to the road adjacent to some other farm buildings. I don't know how long it has been there, but because it is steel, it is probably newer than the wood cars that were more prevalent.

Larry There were box cars all over western Illinois used by farmers for storage. West of Berwick was a pair set about two box cars apart side by side with a roof to the point only the lumber loading doors gave away the cars. Over towards Peoria was a pair of old stock cars set the same way looked like an old corn crib till you noticed the diagonals. Use to be some old depots out and about on the back roads often used by elevators and or moved of the ROW Steve in SC Use to live in Berwick
