Home away from home.   This was before hotels and motels.  Waycars would be spotted on a certain track at the away from home terminal where they would try to get their rest.  Usually had electrical power handy for window fans, etc.  No hoggers were allowed in the crummy.  They had bunk houses supplied for them.   As for living in the waycar all the time, I bet a few guys would have preferred it.   Archie
