Bob, I'm excited that we have access to these drawings!! I chuckled at your comment regarding recreating the 1/16" black outline in HO decals. I can assure you that it would be virtually impossible to recreate it to be visible and look right. Dave -----Original Message----- From: CBQ@yahoogroups.com [mailto:CBQ@yahoogroups.com]On Behalf Of Bob Webber Sent: Wednesday, November 16, 2011 3:36 PM To: CBQ@yahoogroups.com Subject: [CBQ] Burlington Passenger Car Lettering Some time back the remark was made that CB&Q Passenger car lettering was difficult to come by. That is no longer the case - nor has it been for some time. There are (general arrangement of lettering) drawings for the Standard Steel-built cars as well as (Lettering and Side Elevation) drawings for the Pullman built cars (of 1922 - Diner, Coach/Chair, and the combine). Lettering includes interior & exterior - including the smallest lettering on the trucks. Dave - Ted should be getting back to you on your request. Good luck in creating the body decals - gold leaf "enclosed with a 1/16" black stripe". Other lettering (weight, cap'y, truck, etc. is white lead. Phil, these are important for the IRM as well, for the CB&Q cars there. Esp. the interior signage/lettering.
