I hear you Lenny. At Congress Park you always stayed on the stair from the tunnel till you say the bills land. One time they stuck in the east wall of the shelter from the nail. On the signal tests due to the delays incurred by the trains on 2nd trick Main Line DS in Cicero use to have the crews call him on the PBX when they went on duty. At the time it was not recorded and he would tell them the weed rats were out so they would look out. So the TM got the bright idea to use jumper cables to set the signal. Only trouble is that caused a track light on the CTC panel and the old ones we had in Cicero you could tell the maintainer what the problem was and where it was at. So the signal maintainer went out and got him self a new set of jumper cables Steve in SC ________________________________ From: "wohrnell@kc.rr.com" <wohrnell@kc.rr.com> To: CBQ@yahoogroups.com Sent: Sat, October 15, 2011 9:48:16 AM Subject: [CBQ] Re: Torpedos The westbound crews out of Galesburg would throw off their soup ticket at Monmouth wrapped with the lead strap of a torpedo. Their was one exception some moron threw the soup ticket off wrapped around a fusee which still had the nail.
