They were first painted mineral red and push cars continued to be painted mineral red. After about 1950, motor cars and a few push cars were painted Omaha orange. Most of the "push car class" of M of W equipment like bridge derricks, weed mowers, trailers (for carrying large gangs) and so on was painted orange as well. Of course, over the years the orange faded to a more yellow color.
