As I do research on CB&Q operations in the Aurora area in the 1960's for my N scale Sheep Yard I find myself consistently asking myself what do these numbers mean? I was wondering if there is any published reference that gives details about both the freight and passenger numbers and names? As an example, here are the numbers of east and westbound freights in the Aurora area gleaned from June 1, 1967 traffic diagrams in this groups files section: Eastbound - 82 - P/U - 88 - 90 - GI68 - 68 - 74 - QNY - LC - 66 - 64 - 68 - 60 Westbound - 97 - 83 - 81 - 75A - ACD - CD - NYQ - 67 - 77 - CGI The only one I am sure of is the CGI/GI which is Chicago Grand Island. I'm not looking for anyone to put a detailed post out here I'd be happy to be pointed to an existing post or publication. I am planning on being in Batavia on Saturday so let me know if you'll have anything there for purchase along this line and I'll make sure to find you.
