C&S 99103 was a pile driver which was scrapped in September 1972 and its
tender donated to the BHC by C&S Vice President John Terrill.

There is a CB&Q tender (C&S showing through underneath) sitting in the
Black Hills Central yard at Hills City, SD. Does anyone know what
locomotive this tender came off of? It has a MOW number (my slides
would
indicate 99103, but it's difficult to tell). I'm not sure when/how it
came to Hill City, but it's in photos from the 1980s, so it's been
there
     awhile.

     Jeff Terry
