Some of the carriage diagrams that are available are quite crude and I have 
found that even those that look to be reasonably accurate are often not in 
proportion.  Most of the elements can be sized by eye but the three vertical 
dimensions, overall roof height, cantrail height  and solebar height are 
essential for accuracy. It's useful to know the depth of coach valences as 
well.
