In case you are interested, 7099 was a 28 foot car with a capacity of 30,000 or
40,000 lbs., built before 1885 and it was off the
roster by 1909.
Box 667 was built by 1888, with an inside length of 29 ft. 5½ in., inside
height of 6 ft. 10 in., and a capacity of just 28,000 lbs.
It survived until at least December 1908 when it was one of the last four
StLK&NW box cars - the balance having been renumbered as
CB&Q or scrapped. By that time, 667 had been rebuilt as a 34 foot car.
I suspect that this car, together with all the other 33/34 ft. left-over box
cars from the subsidiaries, was renumbered into the
17200-17184 and 17200-242 series, which were all off the roster by 1913.
