[CBQ] Westerfield models/Champ decals

My son Lee saw this @ Milw Road Yahoo group.  "Champ is closing for good end of 
Sept (NEXT WEEK!) and Al Westerfield is closing the doors on his shop in April 
2011 and reportedly will be taking his last orders in January."

Champ makes (made?) some unique Burlington decals.  Westerfield has produced 
many beautiful Burlington freight car models, many not available from any other 
source.  (his most recent issue are several versions of BR single sheathed 
boxcars)
 
Anyone have more details?  Champ decals will undoubtedly be available for some 
time to come @ hobby shops that carry a good stock but Westerfield models are 
NOT open stock & most hobby shops carry few if any of his models.  If you have 
been waiting to buy one from your hobby shop or were going to order directly, 
the time is NOW!

 PS - you will note many of the prize-winning models at BRHS meets and those 
described in articles in the Zephyr are made from Westerfield box cars &/or 
using Champ decals.  'nuff said!
