[CBQ] Car 57 Pullman roof colours

Hi to all
 After removing the rolled roofing from our car we are finding no signs of any 
other colour than faded red similar to the engineering dept colour used by C&S. 
Does anyone have info on roof colours used by Pullman for passenger cars circa 
1887?  We assumed either red or silver. We would like to confirm a colour and 
possible match before we decide to seal and paint.
