In 1987 I bought a book "Historic Naperville' by Genevieve Towsley (4th
printing May 1986, published by The Naperville Sun newspaper) at the Naper
Settlement historic park. The following CB&Q related info is in the book:

BURLINGTON PARK:
Page 91 has a 1894 photo of people in the woods at the park with men in suits &
derbys and women in long gowns & sailor hats. Pages 213-214 has an article on
Burlington Park with a photo of passengers disembarking a train at the depot &
awaiting transport to the park. Another photo has ladies sitting on the boat
dock awaiting a row boat with their beaus.

DEPOTS
There is also a photo of the crossing guard tower by the brick depot and
another photo of the wood freight house depot.

EXPOSITION FLYER WRECK:
Pages 206-208 has an article on the 1946 Exposition Flyer wreck with 3 photos.

ABANDONED TRACKS
Page 254 has a 1960 photo of the "spur line which ran down Ewing to Jackson
streets, and east on Jackson to serve the Naperville Electric department with
Centennial Beach in the background.". At this point, the rails have been
removed and only the ties remain. Two people are walking on the ties.

BRIDGES
The index lists page 58 under "Burlington Railroad", but I can not find the
reference on the page. Pages 58-59 have 6 photos of various bridges in
Naperville.

This book may still be available from Naper Settlement or from The Naperville
Sun newspaper. Or maybe an updated printing is available?
