I have one and had to work on it but nothing I felt was too bad. The biggest problem was the drivers were all narrow and had to be eased out with a NWSL puller. I made sure the rods still cleared everything after I re-gauged. The trailing truck was a strange double connection that made it impossible to back without derailing. I put a piece of thin piano wire from the screw on the frame though both trucks - it appeared to have this originally and it runs fine. You could also just solder the two pieces together. I did add a big can motor and an old constant headlight circuit. Its top spead is now about 50 smph. I made numerous changes to the details as I wanted a FW&D version but that was my choice. I am pleased with it and it is a favorite of the grandkids when they come. If it is a reasonable price and you are willing to spend some time, go for it.
