Gerald,
I did a MapQuest of Naperville, Il. and "Burlington Park" is clearly shown.
It is on the east bank of the Dupage River about a mile west of the
current Naperville depot. The Route 59 depot is a couple of miles farther west.

Burlington Park
Location
Located on Douglas Avenue south of Ogden Avenue (Route 34) and east of
River Road.
Outdoor Recreation
Fishing
Fishing is available in Burlington Park along the West Branch of the DuPage
River. The river features sunfish, carp and bluegill. All persons 16 and
older (except legally disabled persons) are required to have in their
possession a valid Illinois sport fishing license. All anglers must follow
District and state regulations.
Picnicking
For picnickers, there are six tables in the preserve. Three are in the
wooded area and three are in an open picnic grove. Groups of up to 75 people
can reserve a picnic area by calling the Naperville Park District at (630)
357-9000. Several ground grills are located near the picnic area and a
horseshoe pit also is available. Latrines are located near the 20-car parking
lot.
Preserve History
Burlington Park Forest Preserve was once owned by the Burlington Railroad.
It is now a jointly owned preserve between the Forest Preserve District of
DuPage County and the Naperville Park District.
Accessibility
For special accessibility needs or concerns, please contact the District's
ADA coordinator at (630) 933-7683 or TTY (800) 526-0857 at least three
business days in advance of your visit.

The Burlington used to promote picnics, gatherings, etc at "Burlington
Park - 9 miles east of Aurora on the DuPage River". Per my vintage TT's this
was not a station but given the distance, would put it in Naperville which
had lots of open land around it in the good 'ol days (even into the 1950's
when you consider the calendars & PR photos taken on the Naperville curve &
other Naperville locations). Any one have any info on "Burlington Park"? I
would assume the RR owned the area as such excursions were big business for
any RR into the teens (i.e. before automobiles took the picnic business).
One poster I've seen promoted a large meeting of the BPOE (Elks) with
special fares from all suburban stations in the 1890's to "Burlington Park".
