Hi to all We had a great day on the car project yesterday, lots of visitors and donations and some fascinating finds too. We found a ticket on our car to the 1909 Grand Prix at the Exposition in Paris (this was the expositions last year) the ticket was in our soot filled clerestory roof window wells these have yielded many finds so far, we dont yet know what Grand Prix although in 1909 Baron Rothschilds horse Verdun won in Paris . We also found all the missing windows and hardware from our other intended restoration the 1866 Wagner palace car 'Omaha' (builder unknown) these were sold by the cars owners 30 years ago when it was a house next door to our car in Cheyenne, we hope the frames can tell us more about the cars origins. The move to downtown Cheyenne is yielding benefits beyond anything we could have hoped for......so come and visit us.
