Sounds like it was ultimately replaced by the Twin Zephyrs.

Good information, Mitch. I have to wonder why this train was so
overshadowed by the other three. Maybe it only operated for a few years?

I did find a date on the brochure. The schedules were effective Nov. 21, 1932.
It had the Mississippi Riverview dept Mpls 8:15am St Paul 9:00am, arrive
Chicago 7:10pm. The North Coast Limited dept Mpls 10:20pm, St Paul 11:00pm,
arrive Chicago 9:00am. The Empire Builder dept Mpls 10:05pm, St Paul 10:45pm,
arrive Chicago 8:45am. The Blackhawk dept Mpls 9:00pm, St Paul 9:40pm arrive
Chicago 8:00am.
Not exactly speedy trains at 10 hour runs from St Paul to Chicago. It also gave
time for connection to southbound trains.I don't think it had anything about
cars in the consist, but will try to look later.
