Paul:
I assume you are talking about the city street overhead and not the Illinois
Hwy 88 overhead. If so, there is a distant photo of it on the top of page 80
of Burlington Bulletin #41, which has an article on Buda, including photographs
by Ira Eigsti. The photo is taken from east of the depot, so the bridge is
pretty far away, but you can make out the design of the pony truss. The CB&Q
alignment chart describes this bridge as #116.92, with a 48 steel span over the
tracks (pony truss) and 5 spans of wood pile trestle. From my recollection of
this bridge, I believe 2 of the approach spans were north of the truss and 3 on
the south.

Subject: [CBQ] Re: Bridge at Buda
Thank you Scott.
I was across the pond in 2008 and followed the mailine from Fort Morgan to
almost Chicago. I am modelling the area from the signal gantry north of the
level crossing to the Bridge sount of the where the depot was.
When I started studying my photos, I thought it was rather modern. I have found
1 photo of a bridge dated 1980-90.
Has anybody got any photos of the earlier bridge?
