and somewhere out there is some old CB&Q correspondence or drwgs giving specs
for the paint on early waycars - here's hoping!

Thanks for this explanation of the cars, particularly of the colour scheme for
the waycar. And I'd forgotten about the test car.
Perhaps my memory only stored the photo as a black and white item!
