Brian,
Did you recieve any info on TTI 257 and 258, former CB&Q 108 and 111? Are they
still in service or did they become parts units to keep 255 and 260 running? I
didn't realize that 260 was ex-Q, so I'll add that one to the roster.

Subject: [CBQ] Re: Question about the U28B's
Thanks for the info on the U-boat assignment. I should not be surprised that
Lincoln would have been their assigned base. When I passed through Lincoln on a
trip in July 1982 many of the U28B's were there in storage. And now for some
great news.
I have just learned there are still two ex-CBQ U28B's in active service on TTI
in Kentucky! TTI 255 and 260. The 260 switches at the coal terminal in
Maysville and the 255 in work train service at Carlisle. The 255 is the ex-CBQ
106 and the 260 the ex-CBQ 114. Who would think two CB&Q U28B's would still be
active in 2010!
All of the NP and GN U-boats have long been scrapped. There are no CB&Q U-boats
saved. This sounds like a great opportunity to me when they eventually are
retired. I would hate to see these two U-boats go to scrap.
