[CBQ] NEW SOUTHERN IRON & EQUIPMENT CO BOOK

Hi All,

I wanted to advise everyone of a new book by Tom Lawson on Southern Iron & 
Equipment Co. There is hardly a railroad that didn't have one of its 
locomotives come through SI&E, either before it came on board or after it was 
sold.

Tom has spent many years researching this from SI&E records and his efforts 
digging data out of courthouses and railroad company files have been 
monumental. I have no personal interest in this other than alerting others to 
this fine work. I especially appreciate his noting conflicting information when 
nothing can be verified with certainty.  If you are interested in logging roads 
this book is a must have. Previous owners and resales are included. The photos 
alone make it an excellent buy.

I research steam locomotive railroad rosters and his files have yielded many 
answers no other source could. It is well worth the price. I have never seen a 
dealer/reseller list so complete.
