IIRC 800 + side dump loads of rip-rap brought down from Gladstone was placed before it started showing through the water. The first train over the trestle was No. 18, ever so slowly as the bents could be seen moving under the train. There was water still lapping at the end of ties, most of the two weeks I worked there.
