Just curious about a few things in the Savanna, IL yard.  According to the 
maps, it shows a Milwaukee line arcing across the west end of the yard heading 
south.  Now, I assume that was an at grade crossing of the lines and yard 
leads.  How was it protected?  Was all the switching done from the east end of 
the yard?  Just would like to get an idea of how the yard worked in the Q days. 
 The guys always talk about how it used to have 3 shifts of switch engines and 
seemed like a pretty busy place at one time.
