I have a 6 MByte video file of 1522 with a Q whistle on it. Looks like
the files section of the list is quite full and I think yahoo has a 5 MB
limit. I'll send it to anyone that  wants it. Email me off list.

I do hope to find a place to sound this whistle once I'm through, we
have a
bonafide steam operation here in Kansas now with the splendid work up in
Abilene on a former ATSF pacific there. Not a Q engine, but live steam
and
maybe I can talk them into operating with either my Q whistle or my Rock
Island one some day. Till then, does anyone have any recordings of these
Q
whistles to share?

Dan,

Once you finish, are you going to find some place to connect to 250# 
of super heated steam to see if it works? I know there is at least 
one group of collectors that does a whistle demonstration 
occasionally. I think the site of the demonstration is located near 
Mobile, AL.
