There are 3 other places you can still hear a CB&Q whistle:
1. Boone, Ia. The 8419 has the whistle, bell, gauges and brakestand from the
3007 Hudson. Sounds real nice! I am a fireman on the 8419 and
a student steam engineer.
2. Galesburg Ill Railroad Days. I am a volunteer at the museum and have been in
the cab of the 3006 interacting with the public and informing them about the
locomotive.
(though sometimes when the petting zoo is in town we don't blow it as it scares
the animals. Its hooked up to an air compressor.)
3. Bishop Hill Old Settler Days. A guy from Kewanee Ill has a steam tractor
that he claims has a CB&Q whistle. It sounds good too!
